We have carefully planned a transition that will give you and your children a calm and settled start to school life at Hounsome Fields Primary School.

September
7th, 8th, 9th and 10th September – Home Visits
Your child’s teacher and a learning support assistant will visit your child in their home environment. This is another opportunity for your child to bond with their teacher and gives you the opportunity to ask questions. These visits will be coordinated and sent out to you before the summer break.

Friday 11th September 2026 - First school day (From 8.15am and 12.00pm)

Monday 14th September 2026 – Reception Pupils’ First Day (From 8.15am-12.00pm)

Tuesday 15th September 2026 – Morning and Lunch (8.15am-1.15pm)

Wednesday 16th September 2026 onwards – First Full Day (8.15am- 3pm)
