Pupil Premium
Our Commitment to Every Child
The school aim is for all our children to reach their potential, guided by our HEART values:
- Honesty
- Empathy
- Achievement
- Respect
- Teamwork
We ensure that teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all our pupils, and that appropriate provision is provided for those who require additional support.
We recognise that there are a number of children who require further support and therefore we allocate additional funding to ensure that we can support all of our most disadvantaged pupils in the most effective way.
We also recognise that not all pupils who receive Pupil Premium funding will be socially disadvantaged and that not all pupils who are socially disadvantaged will be eligible for Pupil Premium, and our use of funding represents this.
Our Pupil Premium Strategy Statement
As a new school, we are in our first year of operation with only Reception and Year 1 pupils.
We will publish our pupil premium strategy statement following our first full academic year.
Our strategy statement will demonstrate how we are using pupil premium funding to:
- Remove barriers to learning for our disadvantaged pupils
- Ensure all children, regardless of background, can achieve their full potential
- Provide evidence-informed interventions that make a real difference
- Uphold our HEART values in everything we do
We will spend the pupil premium on 'evidence-informed' activities chosen from the DfE's 'menu of approaches' The Key Leaders, prioritising high-quality teaching and targeted support that meets the specific needs of our pupils.
As our school grows and we gather data about our pupils' progress and outcomes, we will refine our approach to ensure pupil premium funding has the maximum impact on closing any attainment gaps and supporting every child to thrive.
